Shenhua is China’s leading energy company, and affected by the relatively early end of the Spring Festival holiday in 2019 and the gradual recovery of downstream coal demand, the company's commercial coal production rebounded.


In February 2019, Shenhua's commercial coal output reached 25.7 million tons, increased 14.7% year-on-year; coal sales reached 38.9 million tons with an increase of 16.1% year-on-year; total power generation reached 8.83 billion kWh, dropped 49.3% year-on-year; It reached 8.3 billion kWh which made a decrease of 49% year-on-year.


In coal chemical industry, the sales volume of polyethylene reached 31,900 tons, rose by 12.7% year-on-year; the sales volume of polypropylene reached 29,000 tons, went up by 14% year-on-year.


In terms of transportation, its own railway transportation turnover reached 23 billion tons, ascended by 6.5% year-on-year; the port's coal volume reached 23.6 million tons, increased by 35.6% year-on-year; shipping freight volume reached 9.3 million tons with an increase of 19.2% year-on-year; shipping turnover reached 7.4 billion tons of nautical miles with an increase of 2.8%.
