'AimCoal' Intelligent Coal and Gangue Separation Robot was Unveiled at Tongxin Coal Mine of Tongmei State Power 14 Jan 2021

The Aimcoal intelligent coal gangue sorting robot, developed by CCTEG Shanghai Artificial Intelligence and Robot Center team, demonstrated excellent performance during the three-month on-site commissioning and operation of Tongxin Coal Mine of Tongmei Guodian, and won customers’ approval greatly sure.

 

Aimcoal, homophonic "love Meike", English translation is  "aim+coal", refers to aiming coal (gangue) sorting, can also be interpreted as "AI+M+coal", that is, artificial intelligence in Mine ( Mine) and coal applications.

 

Aimeco uses convolutional neural network technology in AI technology to recognize coal and gangue through deep learning, and cooperates with autonomously controlled multiple sets of robotic arms to realize automatic sorting of coal gangue.

It recognizes and selects gangue through the triple image of grayscale, texture, and trace, and has the characteristics of low cost, no pollution, and high recognition rate. The multi-group and two-manipulator coordinated control technology can also solve the problem of huge and heavy gangue sorting at the wellhead, avoid breaking, and facilitate the on-site backfill of the gangue.

 

The launch of Imeco will solve the problem of misselection and omission of corporate workers, improve sorting efficiency, reduce costs, improve the environment, and increase corporate profits.

 

The Amicco project team is committed to creating a new model of "production, study, research and application + demonstration projects", through the combination of technology and industry, reforming the coal washing process, solving the pain points of users, and relying on the existing market advantages of Shanghai Coal Technology to promote , has a shorter payback period and higher return on investment.
