World's Highest Coal Mining Face (In China) Output Exceeds 10 Million Tons Safely 14 Mar 2019
As of February 2019, the world's first 8.8-meter super-high intelligent fully mechanized mining face (developed independently by China) safely worked 323 days, producing 10 million tons of raw coal, setting a new world record.
The project’s installed power (15,842 kW), mining height (8.8 m), total equipment weight (16,679 tons), and mining efficiency world (1050 tons/work) are at the top of world, and also created the world record of highest daily output of 58,400 tons and monthly output of 1.46 million tons. The 8.8-meter super-high intelligent fully mechanized mining face can produce more than 4.05 million tons of coal, and the recovery rate is increased by 20.2%, the efficiency of mining is improved by 128 tons/hour, and the efficiency of mining is improved by 14.3%, which greatly improves the recovery rate and mining efficiency.
The research and development of the 8.8-meter super-high intelligent fully mechanized mining technology and complete equipment project has filled the technical gap of the world's extra-thick coal seam mining, improved the research and development capability and manufacturing level of fully mechanized mining equipment, and is a historic change in comprehensive mining equipment and mining technology. It not only further promotes the development of the world's super-high fully mechanized mining equipment, but also provides technical basis and reference experience for safe and efficient mining of similar coal seams, promotes the innovation and progress of green mining technology, and leads the development direction of the coal industry. It is of great significance to upgrade the construction level of world-class demonstration coal mines.
