The CCTEG Shanghai belt conveyor belonging to China Coal Technology and Engineering group is going to export to Indonesia for the first time

In order to actively respond to “the Belt and Road Initiative”, CCTEG Shanghai Co., Ltd. recently successfully signed a contract with PT. HALMAHERA JAYA FERONIKEL (Indonesia). The contracted 11 belt conveyors with a total length of 3600m, which will serve the RKEF nickel smelting project on OBI Island in Indonesia.

This belt conveyor supply project is the first project of CCTEG Shanghai in the Indonesian market, and expanded the non-coal market of CCTEG Shanghai. The belt conveyor issued by CCTEG Shanghai has high adaptability under the conditions of high temperature and humidity and salt fog corrosion, that showing the advanced design concept and high-level manufacturing technology.


PT. HJF (Indonesia) is the second joint venture between Lygend and Harita group of Indonesia. At present, the company is building an RKEF nickel smelting project on Obi island in Indonesia. The RKEF project plans to invest 600 million U.S. dollars to build a smelter with an annual production of 90000 tons of nickel metal, as well as the required ancillary equipment including a coal power plant, living quarters, and other supporting facilities.

The belt conveyor supply project in cooperation with Lygend not only provided new ideas for the overseas business expansion of CCTEG Shanghai during the COVID-19 period, but also entered the non-coal market of ASEAN countries, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality, diversified and international development of CCTEG Shanghai.
