From May 27th to 30th, the "AI Empowering Industrial Upgrading" training course for middle-aged and young cadres of the Mining Research Institute was successfully held at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University. Wu Yongzheng, the deputy general manager of the company, and Li Jizhen, a professor at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University and the chairman of Tsinghua University Asset Management Co., LTD., attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. A total of 63 people, including members of the company's leadership team, senior executives, middle-level cadres and young backbone personnel, participated in the training.
Wu Yongzheng emphasized in his opening speech that this training, relying on the academic resources of Tsinghua University, focuses on helping young and middle-aged cadres break through thinking bottlenecks, expand strategic horizons, and promote the transformation of cutting-edge theories into innovative development momentum. He put forward three requirements to the trainees: First, they should enhance their ideological understanding, grasp the importance and urgency of learning, maintain a zero-based mindset, and study earnestly with an empty cup attitude. Second, we should adhere to applying what we have learned and promote the empowerment of industries by AI. Third, strictly abide by discipline and rules, and establish a good image of cadres in central enterprises.
This training, in line with the company's actual needs and current hot topics, has meticulously designed a course system centered on the theme of "AI Empowering Industrial Upgrading". It has invited four renowned experts and scholars, including Academician Zhang Bo of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, to give lectures, providing a comprehensive and in-depth interpretation of the development history, industry applications, and management empowerment of artificial intelligence. Practical teaching is carried out in the form of "entering the laboratory + visiting enterprises", emphasizing the combination of theory and practice. All the trainees visited the laboratory of the Department of Energy and Power Engineering at Tsinghua University, experiencing the scene of cutting-edge scientific research transformation firsthand, having in-depth exchanges with top scholars on the path of technology implementation, and drawing practical inspiration for converting the potential energy of scientific and technological innovation into the driving force for the high-quality development of enterprises. Conduct on-site visits to high-tech enterprises such as Volcano Engine and Loongson High-Tech, get up close and personal with the technological ecosystems of leading enterprises in the industry, and deeply analyze typical cases of AI empowering the real economy, to help build a systematic understanding of the integrated development of "technology + industry".
