On September 15, a delegation from Xiangyin County of Yueyang City, Hunan Province, visited Hami for a symposium on deepening exchanges and cooperation. Focusing on energy supply security, logistics connectivity, and joint industrial development, the two sides deepened pragmatic cooperation and jointly opened a new chapter of cross-regional coordinated development. Zhang Yongjiu, Party Secretary of Xiangyin County, attended and addressed the meeting, which was chaired by Yang Ruifang, Vice Chairperson of the Hami Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
At the meeting, participants watched promotional films about the two localities, gaining a direct appreciation of their respective development strengths and cooperation potential. Officials from Hami City gave a detailed introduction to the city's coal resource endowments, industrial development layout, and production, marketing, and logistics systems. Relevant departments and representatives of key enterprises from both sides held in-depth and candid discussions on key topics including coal supply and demand matching and logistics corridor construction, actively aligning market demand and sharing development resources, further clarifying the direction of cooperation and refining cooperation pathways. Meanwhile, Hunan Yugong Port Construction Investment Co., Ltd. and Xinjiang Energy Group Coal Transportation and Marketing Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement, effectively opening the "Xinjiang coal to Hunan" production, marketing, and logistics corridor and achieving precise matching between resource advantages and market demand.
This cross-regional cooperation has not only consolidated the foundation for energy industry collaboration between the two localities, but also established an exchange platform featuring government-enterprise coordination and complementary advantages. Going forward, the two sides will take the implementation of the agreement as an opportunity to continuously expand areas of cooperation, achieve resource sharing and mutual benefit, and build a new model of regional collaboration.
